Tournament rules

At Hamburg Backgammon we play by the tournament rules of the World Backgammon Federation, edition 2.1 of August 2023. Where the translation differs from the original, the English text prevails. In case of doubt the tournament directors decide.

Here in Hamburg

Our tournaments are played by the tournament rules of the World Backgammon Federation. The tournament directors oversee proceedings and decide in all cases of doubt. Their decision is final.

Format, match lengths and scoring are described under Tournament format. Guests and beginners are welcome. Anyone who does not know the rules yet will have them explained before their first match.
